Shebees Ladies Circle (SLC) is an all-female organization in Naval Combat Engineering Brigade (NCEBde). It composed of the wives of the Officers and men of Seabees personnel and also enjoined by the female Officers, female Enlisted Personnel and female Civilian Employees. The organization is formed to unit our ladies to develop good relationship between the soldier’s wives and female organic personnel and act as one towards the goals of the organization in which one of the goals is to give assistance to the less fortunate people.
Last 16 November 2012, Shebees Ladies Circle conducted an Outreached Program in “Tahanan ni Maria, Home for the Aged Foundation” located in Brgy Lantic, Carmona Cavite. Tahanan ni Maria, a non-profit organization, was established as haven to abandoned and less fortunate elders. The Outreached Program was joined by more than fifty members of SLC led by its adviser, Mrs. Arlene Carrillo and Officers of Shebees Ladies Circle headed by Mrs. Rose Ramos, SLC President. They were able to share the fun and joy with the elders through the different activities such as gift-giving, parlor games and entertainment numbers led by the Seabees Combo. The talented Lolo’s and Lola’s were able to showcase their talents; some sang their favorite unforgettable love song while others show their best move in dancing. A joint luncheon was then enjoyed by the elders, volunteers and Shebees Ladies.
In these simple ways, we were able to touched the lives of the elders and marked a big impact to all attendees. Indeed that the spirit of fulfillment is to share your blessings to others especially to the elders who need love, care and importance.
